Status 160 Frameset
It’s dealer’s choice with the Status 160 frameset, but whatever the build, a good time is more than a safe bet. But that said, the odds of you being able to keep your poker face after getting a taste of the Status 160’s playful Mixed Wheel-Size Trail Geometry are awfully tall.
The traction and rolling speed of a 29-inch wheel on the front and the quick-to-flick, snappy ride feel of a 27.5-inch wheel in back may sound like were hedging our bets, but we’re really going all-in on fun.
And, by sticking to a frame design with an emphasis on simplicity and reliability we’ve ensured the fun flows unfiltered and free from distractions.
- With an eye on keeping maintenance to a minimum, oversized pivot bearings increase durability while a common size across all pivots makes service and replacement a breeze when that day does come around. A threaded SRAM DUB bottom bracket continues on the theme with worry-free performance.

- The S-Sizing geometry of the new Stumpjumper EVO is our most progressive yet. Long, low, slack, short offset fork, steeper seat tube angle – these are requirements for modern progressive riding. But not everyone jibs the same way, which is why the geo on the new Stumpjumper EVO is fully adjustable with six different settings. You can adjust the BB height by 10mm, you can adjust your head angle by two-degrees, and you can make these adjustments independently of each other. If you value style at speed or want to have fun feeling fast, then mixed wheels (29” up front, 27.5” out back) show that the spectrum is a loop not opposite points on a scale. The larger front wheel provides more traction and stability that’ll make you feel more confident squaring off the turns and diving for the inside lines. But a 27.5-inch tire in the rear means this bike still loves getting up on the back wheel and into the air.
